After growing up in the Harrisburg area, I went to college in Boston and postponed law school for a fifteen-year business career — progressive accounting and financial roles at two global organizations, much of it spent working with startups and emerging businesses.
When I returned to Pennsylvania in 2002, I was finally able to pursue my dream of becoming an attorney — to help people navigate life's legal curveballs, and to be closer to family. I graduated from The Dickinson School of Law of The Pennsylvania State University, passed the bar examination on my first attempt, and was admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
Rather than the traditional path of long hours as a new associate at a big firm, I returned to the business world as in-house counsel, working with a number of entrepreneurial startups inside a larger family of companies. When that company was sold and relocated to the West Coast, I moved my law practice into high gear.
I did not set out to offer legal services for every matter. I chose instead to focus on the areas of law that touch most of us at some point in life — wills, trusts, and estates, and the legal needs of small and growing businesses.
If you have a legal matter outside these areas, please contact me. I will not guess — but I may be able to point you to a colleague with the right expertise.
I serve the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania on the State Civil Service Commission and serve my church in Harrisburg as a Deacon. I offer pro bono estate planning through several programs, primarily for first responders and veterans. In my spare time I enjoy travel and watching football and golf.
